Tooth be known...It hurts!
Well folks I haven't really been up to posting anything for the last few days because a molar that I broke a while ago has been SCREAMING at me. :( I made an appointment for the dentist last Thursday to get it pulled, but after an exam and x ray he said I needed to go to an Oral Surgeon to be sedated in order to have it pulled. That an to be on antibiotics for at least five days prior to the extraction. UGH...
So feeling all "gloomy and doomy" I picked myself up out of his chair, dragged my butt out to my truck in the parking lot, and sat there and cried. I just wanted the darn thing gone. Good riddens! It's been nice knowin' ya!But I would have to wait.
Needless to say, it has been a VERY long weekend. Thank god for pain meds.or I might have tied a string around the tooth and tried to extract it myself.
In two hours I have my appointment, and don't you know we are in a winter weather advisory here. The mountains can crumble down around me.....I don't care....this tooth is coming out today at 1pm. LOL! Wish me luck.

Mornin' Sunshine!
Boy I could use some sunshine. It's been cloudy, snowy, and FREEZING here in NEPA, and too boot, I have tooth that needs to come out....1pm on Wednesday can't get here quick enough.
If you could use a little sunshine, I can't control the weather, but I can offer this Mornin' Sunshine slate that is new to my shop today. It measures 3 x 5" and is sealed for protection if by some chance it gets hung outdoors.
Well off to get the little whipper snapper up for school. Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

A Few Great Valentine's Day Gifts to Give
Today I am putting together a small collection of what I consider to be great Valentine's Day gifts from Old Farmhouse Gathering artists on Etsy that are sure to please.
First up from Crow's Nest Primitive is this yummy Sweet Orange and Lavender Soy Jar Candle. Oh boy do I wish I could smell this through the computer! Isn't there a button, link, or widget for that??
There are so many other goodies over at the Crow's Nest too. Be sure to stop by
Next up is, for the man in your life (and his cave) here is a sign of the times if you will...every guy wants his own "Man Cave". And you know what? Us woman like the idea of them having their own space too. (At least I do, because then I get the rest of the house. :) Without further ado, from Sweetprimitive here is the man cave sign
Next, from ForElephant is this lovely pair of handcrafted earrings that would be wonderful for going out for a romantic Valentine's dinner or for everyday wear.
And lastly, but certainly not least, here is a neat (and clean) gift idea for baby from Caneycreekkids:
I can only imagine how nice this lovely crocheted wash cloth feels to baby. Great job Caneycreekkids!

Etsy Vs. Artfire
Etsy Vs. Artfire
I Have been selling on Etsy since September 2008, and for the most I've been happy, but times change and we have to keep up or get left behind, so I decided to try may hand on Artfire as well.
Regrettably, it took me a long time to figure out how to set up my store, and just this morning I did my first "collection" , which took me ALL morning to figure out how to do it.
Now, I've never claimed to be the smartest person in the whole wide world, but since going to Artfire and seeing how long it is taking me to feel my way around, I feel like a complete boob.
Is is me or is it hard to learn your way around Artfire? I don't remember having this kind of trouble when I opened up on Etsy. And with one E store under my belt already one would think I would know sort of what I was doing.
Of course there are the "Nay sayers" when it comes to Etsy. There's a whole darn blog about it, and if you sell on Etsy, chances are you have come across at least one Nay sayer. But in my humble opinion Etsy is way more user friendly. I realize Artfire is relatively new, and they don't charge for each listing and will stick it out with hopes that the site will become more user friendly, but some times you get what you pay for.
I am very interested in hearing others opinions on Etsy vs. Artfire, and if you are for Artfire please, pass along some advice on learning how to navigate the site
Have a great day!

The First New Personalized Slates of 2011.
Here are the first new personalized slates of 2011. I went with sports teams. Listed here are Philadelphia teams, but I can do your hometown team, just ask. You can put whatever you would like for personalization too. Examples would be your name, the teams name, "#1 fan lives here" etc. I can also drill holes in the slate and attach a leather strap to it for hanging in the event you don't want to put it in a slate holder. Just visit either of my stores and send me a message in my inbox. www.PipBerryTree.artfire.com or www.pipberrytree.etsy.com.

It's a New Year! And with 2011 I am Making A Change.
HaPpY NeW YEaRS!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday season, and would like to say thank you for making our holiday season here at The Pip Berry Tree a glorious one.
Ringing in the New Year means making some changes here at The Pip Berry Tree. Primarily what I will be focusing on it what has prove to sell, and that is custom and personalized slates. I will still be focusing on a country prim vibe, but will incorporate other listings such as sports team slates, address slates, seasonal and holiday slates, humorous slates, pet slates, inspirational slates, and of course your own ideas are more then welcome. I will continue to list some other goodies available for purchase such as my handcrafted, all natural soaps, but decorative slates is what I will primarily be focusing on.
Cheers!
